maypop is a communal creative studio rooted in shared making, artistic practice, beauty, experimentation and community care. we’re building a space where artists, teachers, makers and thoughtful humans can work alongside one another in slower, more sustainable ways.
if you’re seeking space to deepen your creative work, we offer a seasonal studio residency. help shape and care for the studio in a supportive community.
you do not need to be a professional artist or work full time in your medium. you just have to be human <3

tools and equipment relevant to your practice (esp. fiber artists) or access to wholesale pricing for materials
teaching opportunities during residency
participation in open studios, events, and community programs
unlimited access to the studio between 7a and 11p.
opportunity to exhibit work in the maypop gallery space, with support for marketing and signage
in-studio signage & marketing support
monthly check-ins and support from cohort

resident commitment
resident artists contribute to the life of the studio through a monthly studio fee, teaching, and stewardship of shared space. each residency is unique, and contributions may look different depending on life circumstances. at maypop, we take care of each other.
$250/month studio fee (with work-trade or sliding scale options available)
seasonal commitment, with the option to renew
offer at least one class, workshop or learning experience during your residency
stewardship contribution to studio growth
willingness to communicate with other residents about shared space, tools and scheduling
participation in monthly check-ins
