I like to say that knitting is the original coding – it takes real mental dexterity, too! Especially when you get into deciphering and following patterns. Lots of math happens in Handwork. My favorite part of this job is to look at child standing before me with a face of defeat and remind them, “You can do this. I believe in you!” And eventually see their own belief build up in themselves.
